When and where are the rehearsals?All rehearsals and the Christmas performance will be held at:
First Southern Baptist Church 951 N Switzer Canyon Dr Flagstaff, AZ 86001 10 Weekly Rehearsals: Fridays, February 21–May 1, 1:00–1:40 p.m. No rehearsal during Spring Break, March 13 When is the Performance?During the Anchor Classical Academy End-of-Year party.
Date TBD What if my child has never sung in a choir?No problem! Your child simply needs to have the desire to learn.
What if we can't make every rehearsal?Children can miss 3 rehearsals and still participate in the Performance!
Are there uniforms or special clothes I have to buy?Nope!
Where should I wait?Parents must remain on premises during the entire rehearsal. You are welcome to either drop off students, ages 5–9, participate in the rehearsal, or wait in the Sanctuary.
Age 4 children are welcome to participate if a parent is in attendance during the entire rehearsal and is attending to any of their child's needs or behavior, as appropriate. I will be happy to drop off students to childcare after rehearsal as needed. Just let me know ahead of time! |
How much does it cost?$25 per child for the Spring Semester

Deposit may be paid online below, or by cash or check in person on a Friday at lunchtime during Anchor Classical Academy. Email [email protected] with any questions. Registrants will be accepted until March 6. Why start another children's choir?My passion has always been to provide excellent musical opportunities for students of all ages. I believe that choral music programs are a wonderful part of a student's education. My hope is that IMCC will fill a need for homeschoolers.
What kind of music will my child sing?Music will be faith/scripture-based and diverse, including traditional and contemporary songs. The Fall Semester will consist of carols and Christmas music.
What will my child do for 40 minutes?Rehearsals will consist of rhythms activities, vocal warm-ups, music games, studying lyrics and their meanings, and memorizing songs.

Clara McDonald
My passion is music education. I have 20 years of combined private and classroom teaching experience and a B.A. in Music Education. I have directed, accompanied, and participated in choirs, bands, orchestras, worship teams, and handbell choirs. Over the years I have played for recitals, weddings, funerals, art shows, recordings, accompanied vocalists, given solo recitals, adjudicated competitions, and worked as the administrator for a conservatory of arts program. I currently offer private piano and flute lessons to students ages 3 to adults, beginning through early advanced levels, at Infusing Music Studios, located at 3005 N West St. (near Coconino High School). In addition to making music of all kinds I enjoy running, cycling, cooking, knitting, the outdoors, playing with my kids, cultivating friendships, watching movies, and traveling.
