Wow! Time really does fly when you are having fun. We have already completed three-quarters of our semester. I would love to have you join us again for next semester’s Silver Button’s class. Be on the lookout for a registration email coming soon! Solfege is a method used at every level of music education to teach pitch and sight singing. The syllables allow the brain to connect more easily with pitch relationships, and hand signs add a physical element that further reinforces those relationships. Learning solfege means learning how to ‘hear’ a piece of music simply by looking at it because it develops inner hearing. It can also help a musician transcribe, improvise, and compose music.
Optional home fun activity: Cut out the horse puppet on page 31 in your workbook. (Remember, these activities are optional but can be a great bonding experience to do with your child during the week. Comments are closed.
